Inner
Peace
Awareness Brings
Release Through the process of a past life regression, you can
bring deeply unconscious material to conscious awareness for the purpose of
increasing your understanding of current issues in your life. That awareness
can bring a release of unconscious blocks and allow you to move forward with
more inner peace.
What is a past life regression? I describe it as a
simple process, similar to a guided meditation, to allow you enter an altered
state of consciousness. You can tap into awareness that is not generally
accessible to your normal conscious mind, release trapped energy related to
specific circumstances, and emerge with greater freedom and inner
peace.
To illustrate how this can work, I'd like to share a couple of
examples. Many times when I work with people, it is only for one or two
sessions and I never hear from them again. From those I have heard from, here
are a couple of anecdotes of their experience after the sessions.
Release for Inner Peace and Weight
Loss Linda (not her real name) was about 50 pounds overweight but
active and muscular. She had commented when she made the appointment that she
would like to lose weight, but she didn't set that as an intention when we
began the session. She experienced scenes from a couple of past lives, as I
recall. Nothing about the first part of our session was especially memorable to
me, but it seemed quite meaningful to her.
As we were wrapping up, I
asked as I usually do if there was anything else her inner self wanted to bring
forward. There was. She quietly described seeing packets of information in an
inner room of her consciousness, and some of these were being adjusted so she
could lose weight. She was being told not to worry about the process, that it
would happen naturally.
I saw her about eight months later and
exclaimed on how great she looked! With a big grin, she explained that she had
started her school age children in karate classes a few months earlier, and it
looked like so much fun that she began taking karate as well. The pounds had
gradually melted away and her whole physique improved. The vigorous workouts
were great for reducing stress after her very mental workdays, plus coping with
a family run business, a husband, three kids and several pets. She described
feeling more inner peace and serenity, and more confidence and self
esteem.
Release for Inner Peace
and Career Progress A middle-aged man (let's call him Carl)
came to me for help with decisions about his career. He'd been out of work for
a year and just couldn't get the momentum up to find another job. He was
stagnating and quite unhappy with his process.
He tapped into a past
life in which he perished in a terrible fire. This awareness came to the
surface and obviously touched him, but took only a few minutes of our session.
I believe there was no obvious connection with that vivid fire scene and
anything in his current dilemma related to work.
I saw Carl only the
one time. A year later, a woman came up to me after I gave a talk to a local
hospital group. She introduced herself as Carl's wife (I barely remembered him
by then!) and thanked me for changing his life. She said Carl was a different
person after our session, energized and positive and happy. He immediately
found a suitable job and was doing well in every way.
I don't pretend to
know how this process works and I really can't take credit for anything more
than facilitating the outward process. It seems that something magical,
something spiritual, unfolds within each person according to their need and
openness.
Release for Inner Peace
and Relationships Another client Teri, (not her real name)
was almost six feet tall, slim, coltish, and about 25 years old. Her dark hair
was extremely short, her attractive features angular, her movements brisk, her
voice crisp. She wore a tailored white shirt and dark trousers with clunky
shoes, and said this was pretty much her "uniform" for her work in a local
government office.
Teri came to me specifically requesting a past life
regression. She explained with obvious discomfort that people often thought she
was Lesbian but she was not. She was lonely, longed for a relationship with a
man, but was also - for no obvious reason - absolutely terrified of men. She
described being quite miserable about her dilemma, and said she felt stressed
and anxious just being around men in the workplace, much less trying to date.
She hoped to release whatever was blocking her ability to relate to men in a
healthy way.
As we explored her challenging situation, she denied ever
having been molested or mistreated by men in any way. She had no gaps in her
memory of childhood. She simply didn't understand why she so feared
relationships with men and hoped to change her process through our work
together.
Her stress and discomfort at being around men impacted all
areas of her life to the point that she felt dysfunctional in many ways. She
avoided most social situations and related brusquely to the men at work. She
recognized that her style of dress and her mannerisms were a form of protecting
herself from the attention of men.
After our preliminary discussion,
Teri made herself comfortable on a pallet on my office floor. I sat next to
her, cross legged, and said a prayer asking for the protection of the Light,
the Christ, the Holy Spirit and so on. (Requesting such spiritual protection is
my trusted way of assuring that the client will only receive whatever is "In
the Light for the Highest Good" for her awareness at this time.) In other
words, we were setting a spiritual intention for her unconscious such that she
would never be given anything she couldn't handle.
In a moment I was
quietly talking her through a guided meditation to help her get comfortable
with reporting her inner experiences. After a few minutes, she entered a past
life. I would quietly ask her to describe what she was seeing, sensing or
hearing around her, in her inner experience of the past life, and she would
report this, often with great animation and curiosity.
The Courage to Look After a few minutes, Teri began to look
uncomfortable and in fact began to moan and to writhe a bit on the pallet. As I
gently asked what she was experiencing, she described with agitation scenes
from a life in which she was born to poverty in Europe in the Middle Ages. She
learned thievery at a young age, as a means of survival. She would pick
pockets, or snitch food from market stalls.
A few years later, also for
survival, she became a prostitute. She was treated very badly by the many of
men on whom her livelihood depended. She thought she was extremely ugly. She
simply loathed herself in that life - for who she was and how she lived. As she
revealed all this, her self-hatred and disgust were evident in her tone of
voice as she described each scene. Not surprisingly, she died young in that
life.
As part of the regression process, we next visited her spiritual
advisors to explore what she needed to learn from that life, that might help
her now. The over-riding message that she received inwardly was, "Love
yourself. Love yourself as God loves you, no matter what." By the time we
completed and she came back to normal awareness in my office, she was peaceful
and smiling. She left, somewhat in awe of her own process and the astonishing
information, and I never saw her again.
However, I had occasion to
speak with her by phone about five years later, and here is what Teri shared
with me. About two months after our session, she shocked her colleagues by
wearing a dress to work for the first time ever!
Soon after that, she
let her hair grow out quite a bit. After about six months, people said her
personality seemed softer.
She began dating. After another year, she
met a wonderful man. As of my phone call with her, she had been married for
over a year and was expecting her first child.
Natural and Easy Changes for Inner Peace She
felt that all these changes - these easy and natural changes in her life - had
flowed because of our two-hour session. Her awareness of that lifetime had
allowed it's negativity to be lifted, probably thanks to the spiritual grace
we'd requested. Teri's very willingness to look at something she perceieved as
so dark, negative and frightening in her consciousness, was also a
demonstration of her willingness to love and accept herself.
Not all
regressions include such emotionally loaded content, and not all lead to such
visibly dramatic changes, but most do lead to gentle and natural changes over
time. Bringing specific past life material into the Light for purposes of
understanding and resolving issues in this life can restore a natural balance
and flow of energy. Awareness in and of itself is often regenerative.
Having the courage to look at the blocks in your life, whether through
a past life regression or some other approach, you may find yourself with
changes unfolding in an easy and natural manner in your life, bringing more
success and inner peace in a multitude of ways. |
